230 Volunteers Honored at Annual Recognition Dinner

Colonie Senior Service Centers, Inc. will honor over 230 volunteers for their hard work and dedication to the organization. Now in its 23rd year, this event is held to thank the volunteers and highlight those who have gone above and beyond their duties to help CSSC serve the largest population of seniors in the Capital Region.

Among those being honored is Michael Tierney, a lifelong resident of the Capital Region and devoted volunteer whose main focus is on health and wellness, but has also participated in a number of CSSC’s events throughout his service. Michael Tierney will be receiving the Volunteer of the Year Award. Lorraine G. Muth, a volunteer with CSSC’s Bright Horizons program, will receive the Rookie Volunteer of the Year Award as she has shown incredible dedication to Bright Horizons Adult Day Services in her first year.

Over the past year, CSSC volunteers have spent over 20,000 hours assisting seniors in dining, companionship, transportation, health & wellness, and much more.
