All Invited to CROP Walk 2016

The Schenectady CROP Hunger Walk will be held on Sunday, May 1.  The CROP Walk 2015 was a celebration with 400+ people involved!  We joined together in common cause to fight hunger both here and overseas.   With some new groups involved we raised $47,704!  This year’s walk celebrates the 36th Anniversary of CROP Walks in our community.

Sponsored by SICM (Schenectady Inner City Ministry) and the Church World Service, the walk is a celebration for families and neighbors to walk together to fight hunger in our world.  Together we raise awareness and funds for international relief and development, as well as local hunger-fighting.  25% of funds will go to local food pantries, Community Crisis Network, and Catholic Charities Senior Meals.  The 2016 CROP Walk is scheduled for Sunday, May 1.  The location of the walk is Emmanuel Friedens Church, 218 Nott Terrace.  The walk kicks off at 1:30 pm with registration prior starting at 12:30 p.m.
