Michele Brumsey Accepts Promotion at Capital Region Salvation Army

Brumsey imageMichele Brumsey has accepted a new position at The Salvation Army as Director of Development for the Capital Region, announced Major Ronald Foreman, divisional leader for the Empire State Division of the Army. Ms. Brumsey had previously worked as Donor Relations Director for the Capital Region.

“The Salvation Army is blessed with personnel, such as Michele, who are passionate about the Army’s mission and work side by side with officers and volunteers to transform lives in communities across upstate New York,” said Major Foreman.

As director, Ms. Brumsey will focus on operations and management of the Capital Region Development office, special projects and integrated fundraising strategies that include the Army’s annual Christmas Red Kettle Campaign. She will be working with Salvation Army Worship and Community Centers in Albany, Schenectady, Troy, Glens Falls, Plattsburgh, Oneonta, Gloversville, and the Hudson Service Center.
Ms. Brumsey has an extensive background in advancement and development with area colleges and universities including The College of Saint Rose, Siena College, Albany Law School, Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences and at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. She earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from The College of Saint Rose.

Ms. Brumsey and her family reside in Selkirk, New York.
