March 31, 2016Chamber Announces Leadership Tech Valley Co-Chairs for 2016-2017
Leadership Tech Valley (LTV), an initiative of the Capital Region Chamber, has announced its co-chairs for the 2016-2017 program year: Meghan Weygant and Christopher Trant.
Meghan L. Weygant, MBA, a graduate of the LTV Class of 2012, will serve her second year as co-chair. Meghan is Director of System Performance Improvement at Albany Medical Center and began her career in the financial services industry before transitioning into health care more than nine years ago. Meghan has held several positions at Albany Med, and was most recently the Director of Quality and Process Improvement for its Faculty Physician Group. Meghan earned her MBA from the College of Saint Rose and her undergraduate degree in Business Management and Finance from Hartwick College. She lives in Saratoga County with her husband and two children.
Christopher Trant has committed to a two-year term as LTV co-chair. As the Director of Member Operations at MVP Health Care, he collaborates with both internal and external partners to ensure excellence in enrollment for MVP members. Previously, Chris held a leadership role on the Commercial Product Team at MVP where he was focused on the overall strategic and tactical direction of MVP’s commercial product implementation activities. Chris is a 2014 graduate of LTV and has served on its steering committee since that time. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Western New England University in Springfield, MA, where he graduated with honors. He resides in Guilderland with his wife and two young daughters.
LTV is a dynamic, interactive program that provides skill development and community immersion experiences that enable participants to grow personally and professionally as they explore issues and opportunities in the Capital Region. Its mission is to develop and inspire leaders to serve and strengthen our Capital Region community, and its vision is to ensure a continuum of informed, inspired and engaged community leaders. Through a series of 10 thought-provoking sessions, Leadership Tech Valley develops the leadership potential of participants and builds a solid foundation of informed, action-orientated and productive employees and citizens. Monthly sessions are themed around various elements of our community to serve as a catalyst for expanding awareness in economic development, community service, diversity, media, education, government, health care and the arts, culture and recreation.
