“Say Hello to Our New York”, a promotional video produced by the Creative Advantage recently received an ADDY Award in the “Internet Commercial” category at the 2016 American Advertising Awards.
Created in conjunction with the Capital Region Chamber and Tech Valley Young Professionals Network, “Say Hello” is designed to attract young professionals and recent college grads to New York’s upstate Capital Region. It’s all about the “hat trick” of good living – lifestyle, opportunity and location.
The piece was filmed in 12 different locations over the course of three days. All the action was shot “on the move” as a SteadiCam® videographer shadowed actor/choreographer Freddie Ramirez on an energetic walking tour of popular Tech Valley locations and landmarks.
Writer and director Bob Radliff says bringing “Say Hello to Our New York” to life was a real a challenge. “Every scene in every location had to be mapped and designed for movement, camera position, availability of natural light and precise pacing. Number of steps, speed of delivery, running room for the camera – all had to be factored into the shot. But when it works and all comes together, you get one result that you can only get with a SteadiCam® – seamless action.”
“Say Hello” is being distributed through several channels to promote various Tech Valley initiatives. It’s a recruitment tool for businesses and colleges, a lifestyle overview for realtors and developers, a tool to promote tourism and a solid vehicle to drive some serious social media buzz.
