February 17, 2016The Daily Gazette Announces Website Redesign for dailygazette.com
The Daily Gazette, an independently owned daily newspaper headquartered in Schenectady which provides media coverage for New York’s Capital Region, announces its plans for a complete redevelopment of dailygazette.com. The new website will offer a more user-friendly experience for readers, while providing streamlined internal processes for Daily Gazette employees. The innovative new website will be planned, designed and developed by Overit, a nationally-recognized digital marketing agency in Albany.
“We are truly excited to be working with a local digital company with the depth of experience and the breadth of creativity that Overit has,” said John DeAugustine, president & publisher of The Daily Gazette. “We did a nationwide search and found the very best company in our own backyard to produce a new dailygazette.com.”
The redesigned dailygazette.com is expected to roll out in fall 2016, and will be a nimble and easy-to-use resource for readers and reporters alike. The integration of new administrative systems will increase efficiency and The Daily Gazette’s ability to keep up with the modern, fast-paced news cycle.
“We’re excited to embark on this new project with The Daily Gazette,” said Dan Dinsmore, founder & principal of Overit. “We intend to create a cutting edge website for users across ever-evolving digital and mobile platforms that will allow them to consume and share the informative coverage delivered by the newspaper.”
With this new website, The Daily Gazette is proactively anticipating future media trends by innovating and adapting to a landscape already reporting in real-time. With a dynamic site, its sleeker look and more methods of storytelling available, dailygazette.com will achieve consistency and improved reader experiences across all platforms — digital, mobile and print.
