Green Tech High Charter School “Feeds The Community” through “Random Acts of Kindness”

Green Tech High Charter School (GTH), a nonprofit organization devoted to providing young males the tools to successfully obtain a higher education, will be providing Thanksgiving dinners within the community as part of their annual “Random Acts of Kindness” weekend.

On Friday, November 20 beginning at 2:30 p.m., GTH students will be surprising random households throughout Albany with deliveries of Turkey dinners.  Then on Saturday, November 21, GTH will host “GTH Feeds the Community” where students, teachers and administrators cordially invite individuals and families within the community to enjoy a free Thanksgiving Dinner complete with all the fixings. The dinner will be held from 2 to 6 p.m. in the gymnasium at Green Tech High Charter School.

Community donors and supporters of these Green Tech Community Outreach events include Price Chopper, Villa Italia Bakery and Honest Weight Food CO-OP.

“The local community is a strong supporter of Green Tech High and this is something special we like to do to give back and show our sincere appreciation,” said Dr. Paul Miller, CEO/Principal of Green Tech High Charter School.  “We are very thankful for another successful year at Green Tech with excellent academics, high graduation rates, winning athletics and continued support from our community. Our hope is that our random acts of kindness will help inspire others to give back as well.”

For those that wish to participate, volunteers and donations are welcome including canned goods, non-perishable items, Turkeys and monetary donations.
