October 28, 2015Great Food and Great Fun on the Menu at the 21st Annual Beaujolais Nouveau Wine Celebration to benefit the Alliance for Positive Health
The Alliance for Positive Health (formerly the AIDS Council of Northeastern New York) is thrilled to announce the lineup of tasting tables for the 21st Annual Beaujolais Nouveau Wine Celebration on Friday, November 20.
With more tasting tables than ever before, guests will be treated to an array of delicious cuisine from the following eateries: Angelo’s Tavolo; Ben & Jerry’s; Black & Blue Steak & Crab; C.H. Evans Brewing at the Albany Pump Station; Cider Belly Doughnuts; Coccadotts Cake Shop; Creo; Crystal Rock Water, Coffee & Office Supplies; Dinosaur Bar-B-Que; Druthers Brewing Co.; El Loco Mexican Café; The Fresh Market – Latham; Grappa ’72 Ristorante; Healthy Café Catering Co.; The Merry Monk; New World Bistro Bar; Rocco’s at the Jonesville Store; Roma Foods Importing Co., Inc.; Roux; Salty’s Pub & Bistro; Texas de Brazil; Umana Restaurant & Wine Bar; We Do Fondue – Chocolate Fountain Rentals; and Wheatfields Bistro & Wine Bar. All Star Wine & Spirits will provide the 2015 Beaujolais Nouveau Vintage, as well as a selection of other red and white wines for guests to enjoy. Both All Star Wine & Spirits and all participating restaurants generously provide their goods and services free of charge for the event.
This year’s event will return to The Empire State Plaza Convention Center in downtown Albany and take place from 6:30 to 10:30 p.m. with décor reminiscent of vintage Las Vegas, the Rat Pack and old Hollywood glamour of the 1950’s and 60’s. In addition to the food and wine tastings, the event will include live entertainment by popular local band Funk Evolution, the Outside The Box Photo Booth provided by Christina Primero, and a fabulous silent auction. More than 800 people are expected to attend this year’s event.
Last year’s event raised more than $94,000, thus ensuring the availability of programs and services provided by the agency to the community! Standard tickets are $85 if purchased by Thursday, November 19th, and are available by calling 518.434.4686 or visiting the Alliance for Positive Health’s website: www.allianceforpositivehealth.org. VIP tickets, which include entry to the pre-event reception, a complimentary wine glass, cognac and hand-rolled cigars, are also available for $150. Tickets may be purchased at the door on November 20th for $100.
All money raised from the event will stay local in Northeastern New York to benefit the agency’s Client Services Emergency Fund and HIV/AIDS Prevention Initiatives.
