Skip Carlson serves as the Vice President of External Affairs and Signature Service at Saratoga Casino and Raceway. Since 1977, Skip has served in many capacities during his tenure at the property including Director of Publicity and Public Relations, Simulcast Director, General Manager, and Vice President of Racing. He is a past president of the Harness Publicists’ Association (1989), and winner of the Gold Pen Award (1992) and Chairman of the Board of Directors, Saratoga Convention and Tourism Bureau (2000-2002). Skip also serves as a member of the Saratoga Springs New York Racing Association Oversight Board and previously served three terms as a member of the Board of Directors of the United States Trotting Association and the New York Harness Breeders Association.
Jim Maney is the Executive Director of New York Council on Problem Gambling. In addition to his many accomplishments he initiated, designed, implemented and managed the first state funded out-patient Gambling Treatment Program in the Capital Region. Jim has testified at numerous public hearings conducted by New York State lawmakers and has presented on problem-gambling-related topics nationally. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the National Council on Problem Gambling and has been the Executive Director for the New York Council on Problem Gambling since 2001.
