livingstonrcNAI Platform was pleased to be part of the ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the opening of the Livingston Apartments, the former Philip Livingston School, at 315 Northern Boulevard in Albany. Now listed on the National Historic Register, the 250,000 SF former school sits on 10 acres and was purchased by Winn Development of Boston, MA for $2,500,000. The sale closed on January 15, 2014. Felton McLaughlin of NAI Platform represented the buyer and Tracy Metzger of T.L. Metzger & Associates LLC represented the seller.

“Without this kind of investment from the state that Governor Cuomo made possible, buildings like this would fall into disrepair and become a blight on our community,” NYS Homes and Community Renewal Asst. Commissioner Sean Fitzgerald said. “That hasn’t happened and now we have this treasure, this asset that’s going to serve seniors for years to come.” The $30 million project began over a year ago and the apartments officially opened on Thursday, September 24.
