September 2, 2015Golf Tournament to Benefit Epilepsy Foundation
The Epilepsy Foundation of Northeastern New York’s annual Jake Straughter Memorial Golf Tournament for Epilepsy will be held on Monday, September 28 at Wolferts Roost Country Club and Shaker Ridge Country Club. Registration opens at 10 a.m., lunch at 11 a.m., followed by a shotgun start at noon, ending with an Awards Reception at 6 p.m. at Wolferts Roost Country Club.
Jeff Klauk, professional golfer on the PGA and Web.com tours, will be joining us at Wolferts Roost. Epilepsy interrupted Mr. Klauk’s PGA career in 2012 and, after brain surgery and several procedures, he enjoys life with his family with a positive attitude and is working hard to regain his status on the PGA tour. Mr. Klauk will be provide a clinic and will speak at the awards reception. Joining us at Shaker Ridge is the 2012 RE/MAX World Long Drive Champion, Eric Lastowka. He will also provide an exciting clinic and attend the awards reception.
MC of the Awards Reception will be Albany native and CBS Sports play-by-play announcer Andrew Catalon. The evening will also include a live auction featuring a Masters flag autographed by 2015 Masters Champion, US Open Champion and No. 1 ranked golfer in the world Jordan Spieth. The Epilepsy Foundation of Northeastern New York provides direct services for people with epilepsy and their families.
