August 10, 2015Bros UniteD is Accepting Applications for the Fall 2015 Semester
The brothers of Theta Delta Chi are reaching out to our community to accept applications for the very popular and successful Bros UniteD program. Young men will ASD enjoy the bonds of friendship, great activities, and of course pizza! The program accepts 12 boys, with priority going to those who participated in the spring program.
The Fall 2015 eight-week program will take place on or near the State University at Albany. The first meeting will take place on September 20, 2015 at our 12th Annual Walk & 5K Run for Autism, at Central Park in Schenectady. While independence is part of being a “cool teen”, parents are welcome to stay and observe any of the activities.
This program is free and targets High School aged boys in grades 9-12. For an application, please click here.
Applications should be returned to Janine Kruiswijk at jkruiswijk@albanyautism.org
Theta Delta Chi (abbreviated TDX) was founded in 1847 on the principle of UNITING HEARTS to establish strong bonds of mutual and unreserved friendship and lasting ties of brotherhood. Developing the intellectual, moral, and social man is of paramount importance, and our brothers are committed to extend this principle to a population of youth who can benefit from our commitment to make a difference.
Bros UniteD (abbreviated B.U.D.) is an extension of Theta Delta Chi’s international service effort and to take a more direct approach besides simply raising money. We want to share the rich experiences of our fraternal bonds with teenage boys with autism with the hope of leaving a special and lasting positive influence in their lives and in the lives of every participating Theta Delta Chi. The Autism Society of the Greater Capital Region will be partnering with us to make the program a success.
