October 28, 2026Gai Chicken & Rice and PFP Kickboxing Academy Celebrate Grand Openings at Clifton Park Center
Clifton Park Center celebrated continued growth with the grand openings of Gai Chicken & Rice and PFP Kickboxing Academy, two businesses bringing new dining and fitness experiences to the community while contributing to the center’s evolution as a family-focused destination.
Gai Chicken & Rice brings an authentic taste of Thailand to Clifton Park, specializing in Khao Man Gai, a beloved Thai chicken and rice dish featuring tender poached or crispy fried chicken served with signature sauces and traditional accompaniments. Owner Patrick Chiou shared that the Clifton Park restaurant is Gai Chicken & Rice’s third location in the Capital Region and ninth overall. His vision is to give guests an experience as close as possible to enjoying this cuisine in Thailand, sharing food made with care while creating another unique dining destination in the Capital Region.
PFP Kickboxing Academy celebrated its opening with a mission that extends beyond physical fitness. Led by Dr. El-Java Abdul-Qadir, a multi-time World Champion, and Tyreeke Pierre, co-owner and World Champion and Head Coach, the academy combines kickboxing instruction with character development, accountability, responsibility and civic volunteering through its “PFP University” philosophy.
The celebration welcomed Assemblywoman Mary Beth Walsh, Senator Jim Tedisco, Clifton Park Town Supervisor Phil Barrett, Deputy Supervisor Agatha Reid, and other local representatives, who offered congratulations and helped recognize the businesses with official citations. Their participation underscored the importance of entrepreneurship, fitness and community-focused investment.
Faraz Khan, Managing Partner of Clifton Park Center Mall, also highlighted the center’s ongoing modernization and growing mix of regional and global brands, dining, recreation and family-focused experiences.
Together, Gai Chicken & Rice and PFP Kickboxing Academy add two distinctive experiences to Clifton Park Center, giving residents and visitors new ways to dine, stay active and connect with their community.
