Sunmark Credit Union Celebrates Member Appreciation Month with Events and Resources for Members and the Community

Sunmark Credit Union is celebrating Member Appreciation Month throughout October with a series of initiatives designed to thank its members while providing financial education, family resources and opportunities to connect with the community.

Throughout the month, Sunmark will highlight MoneyEdu, a free financial education resource that provides members with tools and information to help them make informed financial decisions, build strong financial habits and plan for future goals.

Sunmark is also partnering with The RED Bookshelf to bring children’s books directly into its financial centers. Each Sunmark location will feature a signature red bookshelf stocked with books for children and families to enjoy and take home.

“Member Appreciation Month gives us an opportunity to celebrate our members while connecting them with resources that can make a meaningful difference in their lives,” said Staren Bielinski, AVP of Financial Centers at Sunmark Credit Union. “Whether it’s helping someone strengthen their financial knowledge, making children’s books available to local families or providing a convenient way to securely dispose of sensitive documents, we want our members to know we’re here to support them beyond their everyday banking needs.”

Sunmark will also host Community Shred Day on Saturday, Oct. 24, from 9 to 11 a.m. at its Latham headquarters, 1187 Troy-Schenectady Road. Members and the community are invited to bring sensitive and unwanted documents for secure shredding.

Throughout October, members will also have opportunities to participate in giveaways through Sunmark’s social media channels and financial centers.
