Pioneer’s Grand Carnival Surpasses $300,000 Raised for Capital Region Children in Seventh Year

 Pioneer (NASDAQ: PBFS), a leading financial institution in New York’s Capital Region, today announced that its Grand Carnival, presented by Pediatric Dental Group of New York, has surpassed $300,000 in total funds raised during its first seven years. The event, which welcomed over 800 people, has turned an annual day of family fun into sustained support for nonprofit organizations serving local children and families.

The Grand Carnival is the signature event of the Pioneer Charitable Foundation. Since the event began, 100% of the funds raised have gone directly to Capital Region nonprofit organizations supporting the health and welfare of local children, advancing the foundation’s mission of “Helping Kids be Kids.”

“The Grand Carnival has become a special tradition because of the people who return year after year to make it possible,” said Tom Amell, President and CEO of Pioneer. “We are incredibly grateful to our sponsors, volunteers and families for helping us turn a fun community event into meaningful support for local children.”

This year’s Grand Carnival brought together children, adults and families for magic shows, a kids’ dance contest, carnival games, face and pumpkin painting, sand art and music from B95.5 FM. The event was held under a large tent at Pioneer’s headquarters.

“The Grand Carnival may take place on one day, but its impact extends throughout the year,” said Susan Hollister, Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer and Co-Chair of the Pioneer Charitable Foundation. “This $300,000 milestone reflects seven years of our community coming together to support local nonprofits and the children and families they serve.”

Since its establishment in 2018, the Pioneer Charitable Foundation has provided more than $2 million to over 400 Capital Region nonprofit organizations and exceeded 18,000 employee volunteer hours. The organizations supported provide housing, nutrition, health care, education, social services and recreational programs for local children and families. Pioneer underwrites all operational costs, allowing 100% of the money raised to directly support children, families and organizations in need.
