August 5, 2026Sara Learning Global Commenced Parallel Five-day Training of Trainers Programmes at Karakoram International University
Sara Learning Global has commenced two parallel five-day Training of Trainers programmes at Karakoram International University, Gilgit, under the project Trade-Based Capacity Building of TVET Trainers in the Agribusiness Sector.
The two programmes are being delivered in the following qualifications:
Animal Feed Assistant Technician – Level III
Livestock Farm Supervisor – Level III
The trainings began with a joint opening ceremony, where Dr Qaiser Sarwar, Advisor HRD, GIZ, and Zunair Hashmi, PMO, Sara Learning Global, welcomed the participants and wished them a productive and meaningful five-day learning experience.
A total of 52 participants from relevant departments/Industry across Gilgit-Baltistan are taking part in the two ToTs.
The opening ceremony was followed by participant registration on Sara Learning Global’s Learning Management System and a pre-assessment to establish their existing knowledge and provide a baseline for measuring progress during the training.
Dr Akbar Abbas Bangash, COO, Sara Learning Global, then delivered a session on Competency-Based Training and Assessment, introducing participants to the NVQF structure, competency standards, performance criteria and their role as trainers and assessors.
The technical sessions subsequently began under the guidance of the Lead Trainers, Dr Sher Ali and Dr Nasir.
For the Animal Feed Assistant Technician – Level III programme, Day 1 covered competency standards, animal nutrition, feed ingredients, raw-material quality control, nutrients and their functions in livestock, grain-quality management and green skills in animal-feed assistance.
For the Livestock Farm Supervisor – Level III programme, participants were introduced to competency standards for poultry and livestock farm supervision, the scope and responsibilities of farm supervisors, basic livestock and poultry terminology, factors affecting poultry production, biosecurity and green skills in livestock and poultry farming.
Through these parallel ToTs, Sara Learning Global and GIZ are supporting TVET trainers to strengthen their technical knowledge, practical training skills and ability to deliver competency-based, industry-relevant learning in the agribusiness sector.
