Main-Ford General Supply Co., Inc. Marks New Chapter in Colonie

Main-Ford General Supply Co., Inc., a leading supplier of food service equipment, supplies, and smallwares, is expanding its footprint in the Capital Region with the opening of a new location in Colonie. The expansion strengthens the company’s ability to serve restaurants, schools, healthcare facilities, and other food service operations throughout the region while reinforcing its long-standing commitment to exceptional customer service.

The milestone was celebrated with a ribbon cutting hosted by the Capital Region Chamber, where local business leaders, elected officials, community members, and company representatives gathered to welcome Main-Ford to its new home.

Representatives from several levels of government recognized the company’s investment in the community and the positive impact the expansion will have on the local economy. Dylan MacQuoid, Legislative Director for Assemblymember Phil Steck, congratulated the team and emphasized the importance of businesses that provide knowledgeable customer service and become trusted resources for local residents. Town Councilman Mark McCumber, representing Town Supervisor Peter Crummey, welcomed the company to Colonie, noting that new businesses help drive economic growth and encourage continued investment throughout the town.

Ann Marie Solmon, representing Albany County Executive Daniel McCoy, extended congratulations on the opening and recognized the company’s contribution to the local economy. Albany County Legislator Frank Mauriello presented a County Legislature certificate welcoming Main-Ford General Supply Co., Inc. to the district, praising the improvements made to the facility and expressing confidence in its future success.

Vice President Peter Schreiber thanked the Capital Region Chamber, local officials, and community partners for their support. He shared that the new location was established to better serve the Capital Region’s growing food service industry and recognized the dedication of the employees whose hard work brought the project to completion. Schreiber reaffirmed the company’s commitment to supporting customers throughout the region and contributing to the continued growth of the Capital Region business community.
