June 26, 202625th ANNUAL BH-BL BUSINESS & PROFESSIONAL ASSOCIATION FLAG DAY PARADE
The 25th Annual BH-BL Flag Day Parade was held on June 11th. This year’s theme tied into the 250th Birthday of the United States and saw scores of entries and over a thousand spectators waving flags and regaled in red, white, and blue. The parade committee sponsored free tee shirts with the parade logo and sponsor listings for all the children at the parade.

A free program book supported the parade financially with advertising and sponsorship listings, contained a welcome by BH-BL President Thomas Lansing and featured stories on the history of the parade, and the BH-BL community. A marked “quiet zone” to accommodate those with sensory issues near end of parade. Bands and fire companies were asked to refrain from loud noises and flashing lights in this area. Fireworks were set off at dusk, at O’Rourke Middle School on Lake Hill Road. The parade was supported by outstanding photography, an advertising wrap and two full page on-line ads in the Daily Gazette.
