Military Day at the Capitol

May marked Military Appreciation Month, and it was an honor to be recognized by the New York State Assembly for the vital role the Capital Region’s military plays in strengthening our national security and local communities. Sponsored by Assemblyman Angelo Santabarbara, the recognition brought together members of the Capital Region Chamber’s United Military Affairs Council (UMAC) alongside representatives from the 109th Airlift Wing, Navy Reserve Center Schenectady, and the NY Army National Guard’s 42nd Combat Aviation Brigade at the State Capitol. Thank you, Assemblyman Santabarbara, for your continued support of our military and their mission.

Assemblyman Angelo Santabarbara welcomed military leaders, service members, reserve personnel, veterans’ advocates, and regional partners participating in Capital Region Military Day at the New York State Capitol this morning, joined by the Unified Military Affairs Council (UMAC) and the Capital Region Chamber to recognize the service, leadership, and economic impact of our military community throughout the Capital Region.
