Cystic Fibrosis Foundation Announces 2026 Capital Region’s Finest Honorees: Emerging Leaders Committed to Raising Awareness and Critical Funds for CF

The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (CFF) Northeastern New York Chapter is proud to announce the launch of its 2026 Capital Region’s Finest Program, honoring a select group of rising professionals who exemplify leadership, community engagement, and a commitment to improving the lives of those living with cystic fibrosis.

Each year, the Capital Region’s Finest Program recognizes individuals who are not only excelling in their careers but are also dedicated to making a meaningful impact in their community. Honorees participate in a guided fundraising and awareness campaign that directly supports the Foundation’s mission to cure cystic fibrosis and ensure all people with CF can live long, fulfilling lives.

Capital Region’s Finest Honorees are selected based on three core attributes:

• Professional Growth — Demonstrated career momentum and future leadership potential
• Leadership Excellence — The ability to inspire, motivate, and drive positive change
• Community Engagement — A strong and growing network with a passion for giving back

Participants in the 2026 program will receive:

• Recognition as one of the Capital Region’s Finest
• Networking opportunities with business and community leaders
• Media visibility throughout the campaign
• Special acknowledgment at the 2026 Capital Sip event
• A meaningful role in advancing the mission to cure cystic fibrosis

To ensure a successful and impactful campaign, each honoree commits to:

• Developing a personalized fundraising strategy – Honorees work directly with a CFF staff partner to outline their outreach plan, awareness goals, and fundraising approach.
• Raising a minimum of $1,500 – This core requirement may be met through individual outreach, peer‑to‑peer fundraising, sponsorships, events, or other creative methods.
• Participating in program sessions and honoree events – Engagement throughout the campaign ensures honorees receive support, visibility, and opportunities to connect with the community.

These commitments empower honorees to make a measurable difference while strengthening their leadership skills and professional networks.
