May 26, 2026Sunmark Credit Union Holds 26th Annual Charity Golf Classic, Raising More Than $75,000 For The Community
Sunmark Credit Union, a full-service, community-chartered credit union serving New York through financial services and education, held its 26th annual Charity Golf Classic on Monday, May 18, at Normanside Country Club in Delmar, raising more than $75,000 to benefit the Sunmark Charitable Community Foundation. The Foundation is devoted to the credit union philosophy of “people helping people” and serves to help various local communities, support financial education, and improve the quality of life for those in need.
Each year, the Sunmark Charity Golf Classic draws over 100 golfers and more than 50 corporate sponsors for a fun-filled day of golf, raffles, prizes, and networking. The Golf Classic has been running since 2000, only taking a year off in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. All proceeds from the event benefit the Sunmark Foundation, which uses the funds to partner with local nonprofits to support programs and initiatives that directly benefit the community.
“The Sunmark Charity Golf Classic continues to play a vital role in furthering our mission of giving back to the communities we proudly serve,” said Audrey Stone, Sunmark Community Engagement Manager and Executive Director of the Sunmark Charitable Community Foundation. “Thanks to the consistent support of our sponsors and golfers each year, we’re able to bring this event to life and strengthen our impact in supporting nonprofit organizations.”
