The Veterans and Community Housing Coalition (VCHC) is proud to announce the promotion of Marian Eck from Director of Community Engagement to Associate Executive Director. This leadership advancement reflects Marian’s exceptional contributions to the organization and her ongoing commitment to serving Veterans and strengthening the community.
Marian Eck brings a wealth of experience in marketing, outreach, and community engagement to her new role. With a strong foundation in psychology, she has consistently applied her expertise in strategic communication and consumer behavior to strengthen relationships, expand partnerships, and advance VCHC’s mission of serving Veterans and the broader community.
As Director of Community Engagement, Marian played a pivotal role in expanding VCHC’s outreach efforts, cultivating strategic partnerships, and increasing community awareness of the organization’s programs and services. Her work has directly supported VCHC’s mission to provide housing and supportive services to Veterans and their families, ensuring they have the resources needed to achieve stability and independence.
“Marian has been an invaluable asset to our organization,” said Diane Nazzaro, Executive Director of VCHC. “Her passion, leadership, and ability to connect with both our community and the Veterans we serve have made a lasting impact. We are thrilled to see her step into this new role and continue to help guide our organization forward.”
Prior to joining VCHC, Marian held several leadership roles that strengthened her expertise in outreach, advocacy, and program development. Beyond her professional accomplishments, Marian is deeply committed to community service. She is actively involved in the Francis Stevens Elementary School PTA, the Schenectady Youth Hockey Association, and serves as a Girl Scout troop leader with Girl Scouts of Northeastern New York. Her dedication to volunteerism reflects her passion for building strong, supportive communities.
As Associate Executive Director, Marian will take on an expanded leadership role, supporting organizational strategy, operations, and program growth while continuing to champion the needs of Veterans across the region.

I look forward to continuing to grow our impact and ensuring every Veteran we serve has access to safe housing and the support they deserve.”
