February 4, 2026Wildwood Receives $210,000 Mother Cabrini Health Foundation Grant
Wildwood is proud to announce it has received a $210,000 grant from the Mother Cabrini Health Foundation. This funding will support the development of a comprehensive plan to ensure that the individuals Wildwood supports can age in place with dignity and independence.
As the life expectancy gap between those with and without development disabilities continues to narrow, now averaging a difference of only about six years, long-term preparedness has become a critical priority. Wildwood will utilize this grant to partner with experts and create actionable plans that prioritize accessibility and comfort for an aging population.
“We are thrilled that improved care has increased life expectancy for individuals with developmental disabilities, but we must be proactive,” said Lou Deepe, Wildwood CEO. “This funding allows us to gain expert insights into the updates and improvements needed now to ensure our residences and facilities remain accessible for a lifetime.”
The Mother Cabrini Health Foundation’s latest round of funding focuses on strengthening systems and workforces that support New Yorkers’ health.
“Our grantee partners are navigating an incredibly challenging landscape, and yet their commitment to serving their communities continues to deepen. These grants demonstrate our resolve to stand with them by addressing urgent needs today, while strengthening the systems and workforce that will support New Yorkers’ health for years to come,” said Msgr. Gregory Mustiaciuolo, Chief Executive Officer of the Mother Cabrini Health Foundation.
