The Capital Region Chamber proudly celebrated the arrival of Junkluggers of Electric City, owned by Sean Setter, with an energizing ribbon cutting that showcased not just a new business—but a mission-driven company ready to make a difference.
Sean’s story inspired everyone in attendance. With more than 30 years of military and government service, he has now turned his dedication to building a business rooted in Integrity, Community, eco-Friendly practices, and Hustle. Junkluggers isn’t just about junk removal—it’s about creating impact: hiring veterans, delivering exceptional customer service, and protecting the environment by recycling and reducing landfill waste.
The event drew strong support from community leaders, including Senator Jim Tedisco and a representative of Assemblyman Angelo Santabarbara, who joined local partners to celebrate this exciting new venture. Guests enjoyed networking, swag, and an up-close look at the Junkluggers truck before gathering for the official ribbon cutting and group photo.
Special thanks to our elected officials, community partners, and Community Bank, N.A., sponsor of the Chamber’s ribbon cutting program, for helping us honor this milestone.
Congratulations to Sean and the entire Junkluggers team—your commitment to service, sustainability, and community leadership is exactly what makes the Capital Region stronger. Junkluggers of Electric City is more than a business—it’s a movement toward a cleaner, greener, and more connected future
