Literacy Volunteers of Rensselaer County Announces Name Change

Literacy Volunteers of Rensselaer County is thrilled to announce that they have changed their name to Literacy Volunteers Capital Region. With a rich history of providing essential literacy services in the region, the organization has expanded its reach and now serves Rensselaer, Albany, and Schenectady Counties.

“For years, our organization has proudly served the literacy needs of Rensselaer County adult learners,” said Nancy Benz, Executive Director of Literacy Volunteers Capital Region. “Our mission has expanded to be inclusive and accessible to all in the Capital Region.”

Since its inception, Literacy Volunteers of Rensselaer County has empowered individuals through tailored literacy programs, equipping them with the skills necessary to navigate an increasingly complex world.
