Hudson Valley Credit Union Announces Promotions

Hudson Valley Credit Union (HVCU) is excited to announce seven promotions of leaders across their cooperative.

Michael Burke has been promoted to Senior Vice President, Senior Director Internal Audit. In this role, Michael is responsible for supporting the protection of the credit union’s assets by identifying risks associated with business objectives and evaluating controls in place to mitigate these risks. In addition, he will provide value-added advice and support to business partners on the creation or modification of policies, procedures, processes, products, or services, and maintain effective and professional working relationships with staff at all levels within the organization – including the Executive Management Committee, Supervisory Committee, and the Board of Directors. Michael previously served as Vice President, Director Internal Audit since 2023.

Sarah Gillespie has been promoted to Senior Vice President, Senior Director Project Management. In this role, Sarah will continue to oversee the Project Management Office (PMO) with strong leadership in partnership with her dedicated team. Sarah has successfully completed more than 75 projects in her time with the PMO, including major initiatives tied to mergers and acquisitions, new enterprise systems, development and oversight of an enterprise capacity mode, and played key roles in establishing a Steering Committee and Project Review Committee. Sarah previously served as Vice President, Director of Project Management Office since 2023.

Debra Leone has been promoted to Senior Vice President, Chief Compliance Officer and Deputy General Counsel at HVCU. In this role, she is responsible for leading legal and regulatory strategies, providing counsel on governance, contracts, and regulatory obligations while ensuring alignment with state and federal banking laws. Alongside this, Debra will oversee the enterprise compliance management system, including regulatory monitoring, policy governance, complaint resolution, and examination readiness. Debra previously served as Associate General Counsel since 2023.

Tina Ludwig has been promoted to Senior Vice President, Head of Experience Administration. In this role, she is responsible for the Experience Design Strategy for key channels, including digital (mobile, desktop, consumer relationship management) and insurance referral. Alongside this, Tina is responsible for experience insights, activating the data and analytics of the total experiences of our employees, members and communities. She continues to serve as an Experience cross-functional team leader of initiatives to amplify HVCU’s culture and brand in the products, services and experiences we deliver. Tina previously served as Vice President, Head of Emerging Channels since 2024.

Charlie Thompson has been promoted to Senior Vice President, Head of Physical Operations and Security. In this role, he oversees and represents all aspects of HVCU’s physical operations including construction and branch expansion, real estate, facilities maintenance, and general services. In addition, Charlie maintains oversight of all physical security and safety for the organization while serving as the direct liaison for all non-fraud related law enforcement matters. Charlie previously served as Vice President, Director of Physical Operations and Security since 2023.

Nadine Sheehan has been promoted to Vice President, Sr. HR Business Partner. In this role, Nadine continues to work closely with senior and business unit management to understand needs and develop solutions that align with overall organizational strategy. Alongside this, she will partner with leaders to advise, guide and support all HR matters, including employee relations, organizational development, talent management, compliance, and ensure HR practices support business goals. Nadine previously served as Assistant Vice President, Sr. HR Business Partner since 2023.

Ana Rodrigues has been promoted to Assistant Vice President, Commercial Portfolio Manager, since joining HVCU in early 2025. In this role, Ana oversees all HVCU commercial lending portfolio management functions, including the thorough review of all loans upon their initial acquisition, ongoing expansion, and overall retention. In addition, she will continue to develop and maintain relationships with members, offering solutions that align to their business goals.
