February 28, 2025Epilepsy Foundation of Northeastern New York Names Local Children as 2025 Winning Kids
The Epilepsy Foundation of Northeastern New York team will introduce and honor the 2025 Winning Kids, Adaline Casey of Rensselaer County, and Ada Jordan of Saratoga County at the 37th Annual Confections in Chocolate Gala for Hope. Winning Kids are chosen each year to help raise awareness of epilepsy and to let other kids, and individuals living with epilepsy know they are not alone.
Adaline and Ada were both selected as EFNENY’s 2025 Winning Kids due to their determined spirit and hard work in raising awareness about epilepsy. These young leaders have not let their diagnoses define them and they continue to be a positive force in the Northeastern New York epilepsy community.
Adaline, a 5-year-old from Rensselaer County, began experiencing seizures at just 5 months old. Now with her seizures being managed, she can spend more time enjoying her childhood by doing fun activities such as soccer, riding horses, and swimming. Adaline’s family shared that epilepsy awareness holds a lot of value to them, as they know how important it is for the safety of Adaline and other kids like her.
Ada, a 4-year-old from Saratoga County was diagnosed with epilepsy the week of her 1st birthday. Ada underwent brain surgery in 2023 and has been seizure-free for 18 months! Ada and her family have dedicated their time to raising funds and awareness for EFNENY and shared their excitement for Ada to be named a 2025 Winning Kid.

The 37th Annual Confections in Chocolate Gala for Hope will take place on Saturday, March 29th, 2025, at Birch Hill, Castleton-On-Hudson beginning at 5:30 p.m. This Annual event consists of cocktails, fine dining, dancing to the music of Soul Session, silent and live auctions, and decadent chocolate desserts donated by talented pastry chefs and bakeries around the Capital Region-the highlight of the evening!
