Earlier this fall, the National Bank of Coxsackie (“NBC”) presented The Olana Partnership (TOP) with a $10,000 donation to aid in their mission to inspire the public by preserving and interpreting Olana. The funds were secured through the Federal Home Loan Bank of New York Small Business Recovery Grant Program. NBC is a member of the Federal Home Loan Bank of New York and applied for the funds made available through this special program.
The Olana Partnership is the 501(c)(3) not-for-profit cooperative partner of the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation at Olana State Historic Site. TOP provides educational and cultural offerings for more than 200,000 people who annually visit Olana. Through guided tours of the house and landscape, exhibitions, educational and public programs, visitors engage the imagination; encourage creativity; and explore art, architecture and the environment.
“The Olana Partnership greatly appreciates this generous support from the National Bank of Coxsackie that recognizes Olana’s importance as a cultural and educational resource for our region” said Sean Sawyer, Ph.D. who is the Washburn and Susan Oberwager President of The Olana Partnership.
“The cultural and educational work that The Olana Partnership does plays an important role in our local communities” John Balli, National Bank of Coxsackie Chief Executive Officer said. “We are glad to be able to support them and their continued efforts.”
