Help us provide 150,000 meals this Thanksgiving!

Thanks to you, the Regional Food Bank can provide meals to thousands of neighbors in need every month. We are proud of our partnership and the work we do together throughout the year.

The holiday season is an especially busy time for us, and this year, we are proud to take on an even larger role at Thanksgiving. With the support of a broad coalition of community partners, supporters, and volunteers, our goal is to provide 150,000 meals in a single day of mass distribution throughout the Capital Region.

We are stepping up this year to take over the highly successful Thanksgiving distribution that Equinox has led for the past 54 years. This is an incredible holiday tradition that we are committed to preserving. We fully support Equinox and their year-round efforts to serve their clients, and we thank them for their leadership in providing these much needed holiday meals.

In collaboration with a network of chefs and culinary educators, we plan to prepare and distribute thousands of meals across various distribution sites, as well as deliver directly to senior housing facilities in Albany, Schenectady, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Greene, and Columbia counties. Additionally, we will organize eight mass food distribution sites, where thousands of households will receive over 50 lbs of food, including a whole turkey.

We are asking for your direct support in this effort, which we believe will be the largest single food distribution in the history of the Regional Food Bank. No one in the Capital Region should go hungry this Thanksgiving. I am proud of our team and volunteers for stepping up to do even more during an already busy season. Together, we can make an enormous impact this Thanksgiving.
