September 4, 20249/11 Tribute Ceremony at MAX 410 Restaurant
The annual 9/11 Tribute Ceremony will be held on Wednesday, September 11th at 5:00pm at the Memorial Site, adjacent to the Max 410 at The Waters Edge Restaurant (former Waters Edge Lighthouse), 2 Freemans Bridge Road in Glenville. The event is open to the public and everyone is encouraged to attend.
The event will include remarks from local elected officials and dignitaries, as well as patriotic renditions from area performers. Community participants will include members of Schenectady, Glenville, Niskayuna, and Scotia – Police and Fire Departments, as well as military personnel from the 109th Air Lift Wing.
The Memorial itself was constructed in 2007 with two steel beams that were recovered from the World Trade Center. Tribute ceremonies have taken place annually since that time.
