How Will the State Budget Affect You?? Find Out at the Forum

The ink is far from dry on the New York State Budget. Lawmakers are engaged in hot debate over Governor Hochul’s spending plan with its proposed deep cuts to the Medicaid program, particularly to home care.

When the dust settles, how will the long-term care needs be met for seniors and individuals with disabilities? Will funding for home health aides and skilled facilities be enough to ensure a workforce that delivers quality of care?

Get the answers at the May 16th Elder Law Forum. It’s a rare opportunity to hear directly from lawmakers who can explain the budget in black and white terms. Dan Bazile, Spectrum News Anchor, will moderate a spirited discussion and take your questions with:

·     Gustavo Rivera, D-Bronx, Chair of the Senate Committee on Health

·     John McDonald III, D-Cohoes, member of the Assembly Committees on Health, and on Ways and Means

·     Amy Paulin, D-Scarsdale, Chair of the Assembly Health Committee

·     Jacob Ashby, R-Castleton, who sits on the Senate Aging, Disabilities and Health Committees

Join us for this opening session of the Elder Law Forum, initiating a day to expand knowledge, forge ideas and obtain practical takeaways on healthcare and long-term care in New York!
