Member Spotlight: Micropolitan Matchmakers

Micropolitan Matchmakers was established on February 14, 2021 holding their first launch event on Valentine’s Day, virtually. Co-owners Becky Daniels and Gabby Fisher offer matchmaking, singles events, dating coaching, a podcast & more, all to help you find your big love in your small city! Their community is open and welcoming to everyone regardless of age, race, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation, etc.

The great thing about the dating business – is that it almost entirely takes places in the evenings and weekends! Both founders have full time jobs that they’re passionate about, in addition to their work helping others find love!

One thing Micropolitan Matchmakers is known for is their approach to dating and matchmaking is completely different from anything you will find with any locally available dating app or service. They put community first and focus on building events and connections that help our singles “find their people, not just their person” – they connect them with other singles who are open and excited to meet new people and get out and explore our wonderful region together! They’ve seen great success come from this approach.

Additionally, when it comes to their matchmaking services – they take a personalized and curated approach. Instead of throwing as many potential matches at you as possible – they take their time and curate matches based on shared values, lifestyles and visions for the future! And they coach their clients along the way to help ensure they are the most joyful and confident daters they can be!

They’re known for this because they know what it’s like to be single and searching in our region. Between their own history and experiences and listening to the people they work with, they can understand and empathize with the challenges and opportunities that come with searching for your person. They take a personalized and caring approach because they’re dealing with people’s hearts – and they take that responsibility very seriously.

“The Chamber has been a critical part of helping us to establish our business and get the word out about our existence. We continue to utilize the Chamber to help us connect with other local businesses because – love IS business, and we believe love is economic development. People who are happily coupled are more productive at work, more likely to stay and settle in our region and purchase property and more likely to patronize local businesses and stimulate the economy. The Chamber has continued to help us spread the word about how we can help our fellow business owners attract and retain talent through helping them find a partner,” said Co-founders Becky Daniels & Gabby Fisher.

“We are both Capital Region natives and couldn’t imagine being anywhere else. Our region is big enough to have the people and resources to do and create amazing things and small enough to really get to know our communities and be able to make a real, positive and tangible impact. Our recent launch of our Date Night Planning Passport is a great example – so many local businesses came out to support our vision to help people plan better, more creative dates!” said Co-founders Becky Daniels & Gabby Fisher.

“We are at a point where we are starting to see couples with some longevity who have met through our services and those comments and updates bring us so much joy! We recently got a Christmas card from a couple thanking us for helping them have someone to spend their holidays with. That is one of the best compliments we can imagine!” said Co-founders Becky Daniels & Gabby Fisher.
