Pioneer Strengthens Plans to Grow Insurance and Benefits Divisions, Names Todd Shepersky as Vice President and Insurance Agency Manager

Pioneer, a leading financial institution in New York’s Capital Region, announced the appointment of Todd Shepersky as Vice President and Insurance Agency Manager. In that newly created role, he will oversee Pioneer’s Insurance and Benefits Divisions and lead efforts to grow those lines of business, further broadening Pioneer’s recognition as “More Than a Bank.”

A respected industry professional with two decades of leadership, agency, and underwriting experience, Shepersky was most recently with Fortune 500 company American National.  His background includes a variety of roles focused primarily on commercial and agricultural lines of business.

Prior to joining Pioneer, Shepersky spent the past 13 years at American National, working in its Glenmont, NY and Beaverton, OR offices. Most recently, he served as Manager of the New England/Large Account Underwriting and Risk Services teams. Previous roles included Agency Manager, Commercial/Agricultural Underwriting Manager, and Commercial/Agricultural Underwriter.  Before that, Shepersky held roles as an Agent and Senior Commercial Agricultural Specialist with Farm Bureau Financial Services.

A resident of Albany, Shepersky received his bachelor’s degree in mathematics at Washington State University and earned his master’s in insurance management at Columbia University.
