The Capital Region Chamber was excited to be a part of the ribbon cutting for Upstate Canna Co. (1613 Union St, Schenectady, (518) 280-4289, upstate-canna.co), the very first legal dispensary for cannabis with THC in the Capital Region (and only the third in upstate New York). Renata Filiaci, Manager & Holistic Health Practitioner and owner Donald Andrews spoke on behalf of Upstate Canna Co. about their hard work and dedication to their profession, while friends and relatives enthusiastically expressed support. Donald’s “Uncle Josh” shared his pride at seeing him grow from a young man with an impoverished beginning to become a small business owner in our community. Assemblyman Angelo Santabarbara was represented by Mia Comenzo, and Chris Alexander, Executive Director, Office of Cannabis Management, spoke on behalf of New York State.
