October 26, 2022ReWire Group Joins UAlbany START-UP NY Program
The University at Albany today announced ReWire Group, one of the Capital Region’s leading energy advisory firms, is joining its START-UP NY program. ReWire has also committed to space at the UAlbany Innovation Center, located within the University’s ETEC facility on the W. Averell Harriman State Office Building Campus.
The firm will work on the development of an energy management platform to digitize its model for transitioning its commercial, municipal and industrial customers to lower their carbon footprint, as well as incorporate the full use of renewable energy technologies. The company, partnering with UAlbany through the START-UP NY program, plans to invest intellectual capital and innovative product ideation at ETEC, creating at least 75 net new jobs locally over the next 5 years.

Based in Saratoga Springs, ReWire is a New York State Certified Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) and a NYSERDA Approved Clean Energy Training Firm. ReWire is focused on delivering energy and sustainability-related advisory, product, and service solutions for public and private sector clients across the region. ReWire serves municipal, commercial, industrial, and institutional customers through a combination of energy and financial modeling programs, software application and platform development, process automation, and new technology deployment.

They will also work together to build competitive advantages for companies and organizations seeking to move toward efficiency and renewable energy sources while providing real-world business and technical experiences for employees and students. Ultimately, students and graduates will be considered for internship and employment opportunities.
