Girl Scouts of Northeastern New York Announces Board and National Council Delegate Elections

Girl Scouts of Northeastern New York (GSNENY) is pleased to announce the following elections of members to serve on the local Council Board of Directors, Nominating and Board Development Committee, and National Council Delegates for Girl Scouts of the USA.

Girl Scouts of Northeastern New York is one of 111 Councils chartered by the Girl Scouts of the USA. GSNENY is an independent 501(c)(3). The Board of Directors serves as the governing body and maintains fiduciary responsibilities, as well as the responsibility for setting the strategic direction of the Council.

Nominating and Board Development Committee oversees the performance of the board, as well as cultivating and screening candidates for the governance positions at the Council.

GSNENY elected five delegates and three alternates to represent the voice of Girl Scout members in Northeastern NY to the Girl Scouts of the USA’s governing board at the tri-annual National Council Summit in Orlando, in July 2023. Between now and then, National Council Delegates will work on and consider a variety of governance related proposals with the goal of improving and growing Girl Scouting throughout the US.
