LeChase to Begin Health Care Renovations in Norwalk and Danbury, Conn.

LeChase Construction Services, LLC is planning projects at two western Connecticut locations of the Nuvance Health system, renovating behavioral health offices in Norwalk and refitting space for new machinery in the food service department of Danbury Hospital.

The behavioral health unit project will rehab the entire second floor of a medical office building at 14 Westport Avenue, creating a new suite of offices filling the 15,000 square feet.

In Danbury, LeChase will refit an area for a new automated cart-washing system at Danbury Hospital.

Construction is expected to begin this month on the Danbury project and in June on the Norwalk renovation. Both projects are scheduled to be completed by October.

Both projects will make use of equipment and safety practices used in the Infection Control Risk Assessment (ICRA) Training Center in LeChase’s New York Metro office in Armonk, N.Y. At the center, teams learn how to block off the construction area using temporary barriers designed to look like permanent walls and use HEPA-filtered vacuums to minimize noise, dust and disruption in adjacent areas.

The work will entail close collaboration with Nuvance officials, particularly in Danbury, where the project is in the center of the hospital’s sterile storage area.

“As a leader in renovations within hospitals and health centers, we are committed to maintaining the highest levels of cleanliness and to enabling health care operations to continue safely and without disturbance during construction.” said David Campbell, LeChase vice president. “We have vast experience in efficiently delivering these types of projects, and look forward to helping Nuvance continue to enhance its services in Western Connecticut.”
