March 16, 2022Mohawk Chevrolet Employee Recognized by National Automobile Dealers Association
Mohawk Chevrolet is pleased to announce that Service Advisory Alyssa Corbett has been recognized by the National Automobile Dealers Association (NADA) as a semifinalist in the 5th-Annual Women Driving Auto Retail Video Contest. The contest, which takes place each year during Women’s History Month, is part of a national initiative to highlight the current voices of women working in dealerships while encouraging other women to pursue automotive careers.
This year’s contest called on these women to share their experiences, how their auto retail career journey began and why the industry is a distinguished career path for other women.
Alyssa was chosen as one of 10 semifinalists, beating out individuals from more than 2,300 dealerships. This is Mohawk Chevrolet’s first woman placed in the top 10.
She succeeds in her position with 12 years under her belt. Starting in the industry at age 21, Alyssa bounced between sales and service, making her a well-rounded employee.
“I love being in automotive as a female because I get to change the perception that people may have of who a service advisor is and what they look like,” says Alyssa. “There were not a lot of women in this industry when I started. There were a lot of women in sales but not in the service environment as nowadays and that is a cool thing to be able to watch.”
“We are very proud of Alyssa and how she has grown over the years,” says Mohawk Chevrolet Dealer Principal Andrew Guelcher. “She is the first woman from Mohawk Auto Group who has received this recognition and we cannot wait to see her continued success.”
Alyssa will receive a $500 gift card, along with a scholarship to NADA’s Professional Series, a training program to foster dealership talent working in any dealership department – a value of $2,995.
