Northwestern Mutual – Capital Region Recognizes Top Interns

Northwestern Mutual – Capital Region announces that three of its interns are being recognized within the top six of the entire Eastern Region based on production. Amir Taylor, Siena College student (Class of ’22) ranked in the number one spot, followed by UAlbany student Joshua Chandler (Class of ‘23) in fourth, and RPI student Phillip Li (Class of ‘23) who ranked sixth.

“Amir, Josh and Phillip are true examples of young individuals that are shaping the future of the financial services industry. I’m very proud of what they’ve accomplished, and I’m honored to have a front seat view on their success thus far,” said Molly LeClair, Internship Development Officer.

All are being honored as an outstanding performer by building a strong financial services practice and delivering consistent quality service to clients. Their strong desire to lead has also provided opportunity for them to serve as College Unit Captains and Team Captains; mentoring incoming interns at the Capital Region office and continuing to lead by example.

“Siena College has helped me grow into a hard-working, respectful, and professional young man who will always strive to leave an impact on the people around me,” said Taylor. “I show up to the office as the best version of myself out every day, and I don’t leave my team or my clients thinking otherwise.”

“The knowledge and discipline I have gained through my courses at UAlbany has helped guide me through this internship path,” said Chandler. “Through client interactions I have found that the impact I can have as a financial representative is not only tremendous but parallel to my personal, professional and financial goals. To me, The Northwestern Mutual internship is a meaningful opportunity that is second to none in the financial services industry.”

“This internship is molding my future, not just in a career path but as culture that supports growth and challenges. You will be pushed to better yourself and better the lives of others,” said Li. “I am grateful that RPI offered classes where I learned to think analytically and gave me a chance to constantly improve myself.”

Northwestern Mutual’s internship program has been named one of America’s “Top 100 Internships” for 26 consecutive by Vault years and provides real-world opportunities to full-time college and university students throughout the country. Apply here for the internship program.
