BBL Hospitality Names Two Vice Presidents

BBL Hospitality has promoted two hotel General Managers to the position of Vice President. Laura Thomas of Port Saint Lucie, FL and Jeff Michaelson of Troy, NY will assume their new positions at the start of the new year.

“BBL Hospitality continues to grow and add new hotels as well as third party management contracts to our portfolio of properties. Both of these outstanding leaders will help to support our hotels in the Southeast and the Northeast,” says Steve Obermayer, CFO, BBL Companies.

Laura Thomas joined BBL as a General Manager of the Homewood Suites in Port Saint Lucie, FL. She has been with BBL for over ten years and has been instrumental in opening several new hotels throughout FL; including the new Courtyard by Marriott in Port Saint Lucie, FL and the Hyatt Place at Kennedy Space Center. As BBL continues to expand in the Florida market, Laura will provide support to all Florida, WV, and VA hotels.

Jeff Michaelson is currently the General Manager of the Hilton Garden Inn in Troy, NY. In his new expanded role, he will provide additional support to BBL’s portfolio of hotels in the Capital Region. Prior to BBL, Jeff has years of operational experience at the Hilton Albany, Colonie Country Club, and the Albany Marriott.
