Nomad CoWorks Opens in Clifton Park

The Chamber was delighted to take part in a ribbon cutting for Nomad CoWorks on Wednesday, July 7.  The Chamber was joined by state elected officials, Chamber Ambassadors, the business community and other friends and family of Nomad.

James Lewis-Van Vorst has been a remote worker for a few years and has had experience both working from home and from coffee shops and coworking spaces. “I’ve always wanted to start my own business, and coworking seemed like a great up and coming model. Clifton Park was a location that was lacking in flexible office options so I wanted to make it work there.” said James, Owner, Nomad Coworks.

James chose to open a coworking space because he really felt that coming out of the “covid” era, “we’ll all need to be more flexible in how and where we work. It provides a great option for people looking to change their routine or separate work from family life.”

James is a Graphic Designer with 10 years of experience in ad agencies and in-house creative teams like General Electric in Schenectady. James received a degree from SUNY Cobleskill in Marketing and Publishing. He is also the Board President of the Capital Region Advertising Federation (CRAF), a non-profit serving capital area communications professionals. Every year CRAF runs the local round of the American Advertising Awards, the first round of one of the largest Advertising competitions in the country. James lives in Burnt Hills with his wife and four (soon to be five) kids on Brookbound Farm, a national bicentennial farm that has been in his wife’s family since 1760.

Clifton Park is a central location. It’s close to the northway, midway between Albany and Saratoga, and it has plenty of shopping and dining options for those who work there. The main benefit of Nomad Coworks is flexibility. There are no long term commitments, and you can customize your membership from full time, part time, once a month, or pretty much anything in between. Nomad is located right on Barney Pond across from a golf course so every window has a great view.

Nomad also features a 6 person conference room available for members for free and open at an hourly rate to the public. You can expect a laid back, quiet, and professional environment built to help you have a productive workday.

All ribbon cuttings are sponsored by Saratoga National Bank and Trust Company.
