EFNENY Offers Summer Camp Scholarships!

The Epilepsy Foundation of Northeastern New York is offering camp scholarships to children with epilepsy for the summer of 2021!! Camp can be beneficial for all children, and especially for children with epilepsy. It can increase self-confidence, foster independence, raise self-esteem and promote self-awareness. Summer camp scholarships are available for children ages 5-18 who are being treated for epilepsy/seizure disorders to attend a summer camp program of their choice. We provide partial or full scholarships, depending on the cost.

To apply, visit our website at: https://www.epilepsy.com/local/northeastern-new-york/programs/scholarship and complete the application. You may also call our office at (518) 456-7501 to request an application. Completed applications are requested by June 4, 2021. Late applications will be considered only if funds are still available.

It is our core belief that every child, especially a child living with a serious medical diagnosis like epilepsy, deserves the opportunity to make positive, lasting memories and have character building experiences, which will contribute to a positive self-image. To make a donation to support our summer camp program, please visit our website at: https://bit.ly/EpilepsyCareAndCure. Your support will help us achieve our goal to provide a scholarship to every family who requests our assistance.

Epilepsy is a neurological disorder defined as having two or more recurring seizures; it can happen to anyone, at any age, at any time. One in 26 people will be diagnosed with epilepsy in their lifetime. Epilepsy is more common than Cerebral Palsy, Muscular Dystrophy, Multiple Sclerosis and Parkinson’s disease combined.
