CAM COM Announces New Branch In Glenville, Expanding Footprint

CAP COM Federal Credit Union will open its 12th branch at 262 Saratoga Road, Schenectady, NY 12302 this summer. The 3,200 square-foot branch is conveniently located in the Glenville Hannaford Plaza and will add additional membership opportunities in Schenectady County, as the Credit Union’s most western branch of the footprint.

The branch will feature five private offices, two teller pods, complimentary coffee, a free coin machine for members, a photo copier, guest Wi-Fi, and a state-of-the-art ATM. The ATM will feature the latest technology and anti-skimming security along with 24/7 deposit automation of both cash and checks.

CAP COM is adding new construction and features to the building, including a third drive-thru lane, responding to members’ increased desire for this service that arose during the COVID 19 pandemic.

CAP COM partnered with BBL Construction Services as well as WCGS Architects for their architectural design. TRG brokered the transaction and Maser Consulting provided site engineering services.

The additional brick and mortar branch is part of CAP COM’s plan to double in membership and assets within the next five years.

“The addition of a CAP COM branch supports our credit union philosophy of ‘Bank Where You Matter Most,’” stated CAP COM’s President and CEO, Chris McKenna. “Our goal is to provide products, services, and education to benefit every member, every time, every day. We’re excited to open this location to provide even more convenient service to existing and new members alike.”

The CAP COM team will be participating in local acts of kindness and community service during opening week, tentatively scheduled for August 2021, including surprise visits to CAP COM Cares Foundation partners, local nonprofits, neighboring businesses, and schools.
