Capital District YMCA Hosts Donation Drive to Benefit Unity House of Troy

In response to COVID-19, the Capital District YMCA is partnering with our neighbors at Unity House of Troy to help increase food and hygiene access to children, seniors and families. Through wise stewardship and a caring staff, Unity House is committed to serving and empowering people in need. They are a Rensselaer County-based human service agency that provides a wide range of services to meet the otherwise unmet needs of people in our community who are hurting and struggling.

Unity House is in great need of the following personal care items and non-perishable items:

  • Shampoo
  • Bar soap
  • Deodorant (ladies and mens)
  • Body wash
  • Toothpaste
  • Toothbrushes
  • Cereal
  • Pasta
  • Canned fruits/vegetables
  • Canned tuna/chicken

Join us Saturday, June 20 from 11 a.m – 1 p.m. to drop off any of the listed items in need at the Troy YMCA. We will collect the items and get them to Unity House of Troy to distribute to those in need.
