CAP COM Cares Foundation Scholarship & Awards Program

Talented young members and the incredible educators who guide their quest for knowledge make our world a better place. CAP COM proudly celebrates our community’s best and brightest by awarding scholarships annually. The CAP COM Cares Foundation is now accepting applications for its 2020 Scholarships & Awards. Submission deadline is May 1.

This year CAP COM is proud to grant more than 35 scholarships including two new scholarships for members who are attending trade schools and adults who are continuing their education. The categories include:

  • (20) $2,500 Legacy Scholarships in the names of Paula Stopera, Weidner “Ed” Davis & Ed Gilligan for members pursuing an undergraduate degree.
  • (4) $2,500 Trade Scholarships in the name of Tony Celeste for members who are attending a trade school.
  • (4) $2,500 Lifelong Learner Scholarships for members who are above the age of 26 who are going back to school to pursue an undergraduate degree.
  • (1) $2,500 Technology Scholarship in the name of Art Goedeke for members who are pursuing a degree in computer science or technology.
  • (9) $1,000 Making a Difference Awards for both students and educators who are making a difference in their communities.

Most students and teachers are currently learning and teaching remotely due to COVID-19 social distancing restrictions. Now is a great time to encourage your child to apply for these scholarships to help them look forward to the next stages of higher education.
