C2 Design Group Recognized as Top Hunger Heroes Team

In January, C2 teamed up with Capital Region CANstruction and The Food Pantries for the Capital District to help raise funds and collect food as a Hunger Heroes Team.

Over the past months, the team collected non-perishable food items and raised money to help bring awareness to the issue of food insecurity. Fundraisers included a silent auction held in October at C2’s ribbon cutting ceremony and open house celebrating their new office in Glenville, New York; a dine to donate burger week at Burger 21 in Latham; and selling Super Bowl Squares. Long-time friend and client, Phillips Hardware decided to partner with C2 for a second year in support of their efforts. The Phillips team collected funds at each of their stores across the Capital Region.

C2 was among a record breaking 18 teams that participated as Hunger Heroes. C2 was honored as the top Hunger Heroes team for a second year at the annual CANstruction awards night held at the New York State Museum on Wednesday, March 4. The C2 team collected 145 pounds of food and raised $3,700 that directly benefits The Food Pantries for the Capital District.

“To be honored as the top team for a second year is pretty special. We are happy to continue bringing awareness to this amazing event and cause,” said Michael Roman, principal of C2. “Giving back to the communities where we live, work, and play remains an important focus for our firm.”
