The Rosenblum Companies Opens Third ValuSpace® Personal Storage Location

Public officials, business owners, and community leaders on today joined local real estate developer, The Rosenblum Companies, to celebrate the grand opening of the company’s third and currently largest ValuSpace® Personal Storage facility, located at 1607 Route 9 in Halfmoon.  This is also Rosenblum’s first project in Saratoga County.

ValuSpace® Halfmoon, a $9 Million investment, consists of a three-story, 91,000-square-foot, temperature-controlled main building and 20,000-square-feet of single-story drive-up buildings.  The newly constructed facility is located in an easily accessible retail location on Route 9, between the Walmart Supercenter and the intersection of Route 9 and Halfmoon Crossing (Lowes, Home Depot, Aldi).

ValuSpace® Halfmoon offers 618 temperature-controlled units on three floors as well as 114 drive-up storage units that range in size from 25 square feet to 300 square feet to meet the varied needs of homeowners, renters, and small businesses.

The facility also features:

  • Advanced security systems including personal code-controlled access, high-resolution digitally recording cameras and alarmed doors;
  • Rigorously maintained buildings and landscaped grounds;
  • A welcoming office with packing materials for sale, along with free coffee and bottled water for customers;
  • Professional staff onsite seven days a week (see hours below).

ValuSpace® Halfmoon is an essential complement to the thousands of new and pending housing units in the towns of Halfmoon and Clifton Park.  In addition, the facility creates virtually no traffic impact or parking demand and will generate significant additional property tax revenues.

ValuSpace Halfmoon is our first project in Saratoga County, as well as our largest storage facility to date,” said Seth Rosenblum, CEO of The Rosenblum Companies. “We’re thrilled to increase our footprint of “better spaces” in the region by utilizing a previously underdeveloped property for needed infrastructure that supports one of the fastest-growing towns in the fastest-growing county in New York State.”

We are excited to welcome the new ValuSpace facility and The Rosenblum Companies to the Town of Halfmoon and Saratoga County,” said Halfmoon Supervisor Kevin J. Tollisen.  “The Rosenblum Companies are well known in the Capital District for their high quality and innovative commercial development projects and have been a leading force in the economic development success of our region for decades. That is why I am pleased they chose Halfmoon for their latest project and look forward to working closely with them in the future.

It was a pleasure working with representatives of The Rosenblum Companies to help bring their unique style and brand of self-storage facility design to the Town of Halfmoon and Saratoga County,” said Richard M. Harris, Coordinator, Building, Planning & Development, Town of Halfmoon.  “This type of infill commercial development along one of the County’s most heavily travelled corridors represents the type of sustainable planning and economic development that will help Halfmoon and Saratoga County continue to grow and prosper while maintaining our quality of life.

“Saratoga County’s business climate played a critical role in attracting this multi-million-dollar investment in Halfmoon,” said Saratoga County Administrator Spencer Hellwig. “ValuSpace and The Rosenblum Development Companies are providing a sought after service to accommodate the needs of our growing communities in southern Saratoga County. ”

Open for business, supporting smart economic development, and providing local residents a fantastic quality of life that’s second to none, my hometown of Halfmoon is one of New York’s fastest-growing Towns,” said Senator Daphne Jordan (R,C,I,Ref-Halfmoon). “With more families continuing to choose our town, and the building of more houses, residents and businesses alike need more high quality, affordable, and secure storage options. The opening of a new ValuSpace in Halfmoon will help meet this growing, local need. The project created roughly 25 construction jobs with a total investment of $9 million, which is significant for Halfmoon. My thanks to The Rosenblum Companies for the successful completion of this project and for recognizing Halfmoon as a great place to grow their business.

Congratulations to The Rosenblum Companies as they open their new ValuSpace personal storage facility in Halfmoon. It is always good to hear of new investments being made in our community that also provide jobs to individuals throughout the course of the development and into doors being open for business,” said Assemblywoman Mary Beth Walsh (R,C,I-Ballston). “I’m glad our residents will be able to conveniently utilize the wonderful resources that ValuSpace has to offer. Welcome to the community, I wish you the best!

This multi-million dollar project represents a significant private investment in Halfmoon, and demonstrates the continued strength of Saratoga County’s economy,” said Marty Vanags, President of the Saratoga County Prosperity Partnership. “We congratulate Supervisor Kevin Tollisen and The Rosenblum Companies on providing an additional amenity that will serve both current and future residents.”

Storage Asset Management, Inc.
