Priority 1 Urgent Care earns Accreditation from the Urgent Care Association

Priority 1 Urgent Care, located in Guilderland, New York, has achieved Accreditation-Comprehensive Scope through the Urgent Care Association (UCA), which is the highest level of merit for an urgent care center, and is the first urgent care organization within the greater Capital District to have earned this distinction. Priority 1 Urgent Care provides patients with walk-in, extended-hour medical attention by doctors prepared to provide care for a wide variety of conditions, and have met all of the Urgent Care Association’s established standards and criteria for quality of patient care, safety, and scope of services.

The Capital District’s health care landscape is rapidly changing and it is becoming increasingly important for patients to understand their treatment options. Urgent care is a convenient and viable choice for medical conditions that often cannot wait for a scheduled appointment in a more typical health care setting. As such, Priority 1 Urgent Care accepts unscheduled, walk-in patients during all hours of operation.

When a medical condition cannot be handled by a patient’s regular provider – such as unexpected cuts, burns, sprains, or fractures that do not require a visit to the emergency department, Priority 1 Urgent Care is equipped with X-Ray, laboratory services, and physicians, always available to perform procedures like splinting and suturing.

Urgent care fills the gap between primary care and hospital emergency rooms, offering increased convenience and substantial cost savings to patients and the health care system overall. By becoming accredited, Priority 1 Urgent Care demonstrates their commitment toward providing patients with access to quality health care of the highest level.
