Advance your Manufacturing Career

Through their Workforce Development and Community Education, SUNY Schenectady County Community College is offering a Certified Production Technician (CPT) program, which recognizes individuals who demonstrate mastery of the core competencies of manufacturing production at the front-line (entry-level through front-line supervisor). The program’s goal is to help employees elevate their professional abilities resulting in improved efficiency and increased profitability of a business’ manufacturing activities.

Successful students will earn four certificates, resulting in the full CPT certification. Individuals demonstrate their understanding of the core skills and knowledge through assessments based upon Manufacturing Skill Standards Council’s (MSSC) industrydefined, nationally-validated skill standards.

This course will be held in a classroom environment with “hands on” practical lab experiences and offered by SUNY Schenectady’s Office of Workforce Development and Community Education, in partnership with Key Bank, the Center for Economic Growth, and the Business Council of NYS.
