Cristine Cioffi, a Founder of the law firm, Cioffi, Slezak Wildgrube PC (CSW) in 1995, has become “of counsel” at the firm. She continues to maintain an active practice of trust and estate law and elder law, serving multiple generations of clients. Elected as a Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC), Cris has practiced law for 40 years. Her firm’s mission to provide quality legal services in a family friendly environment, continues to be influenced by Cris Cioffi’s personal mantra “To Listen; To Teach; To Resolve.”
She is a graduate of Middlebury College and Albany Law School. She is a past President of the New York State Bar Foundation, the charitable branch of the State Bar. She is also a past President of the Schenectady County Bar Association.
Cris has often served as a lecturer for the NYS Bar Association. She was appointed to the Attorney Grievance Committee of the Appellate Division, Third Department, in 2013 and has served in that role since.
Cris believes in volunteerism. She is a past Chair of the Board of Trustees of Ellis Medicine and a Trustee Emeritus and founding member of the Foundation for Ellis Medicine. In addition, Cris is a former Schenectady County Legislator and has served on the Board of Directors of many Capital District not for profit organizations. Cris has received a variety of professional and community awards over her career, most recently the Kate Stoneman Award from Albany Law School, in recognition of her advancement of women in the law profession.
